With its pleasant breezes, autumn is the perfect season to start a new sport.
Tokyo offers plenty of outdoor spots where you can casually try skateboarding, pickleball, canoeing, bouldering, and more. From October to November 2026, easy-to-join sports events for solo participants will be held one after another around the National Stadium area, at Tokyo Metropolitan parks, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and more.
Focusing on “outdoors,” “individual use/solo participation,” and “beginner-friendly,” we introduce, in two parts, spots you can visit anytime and limited-time events only this autumn.
Hours, fees, and event details may change or be canceled due to weather or organizer circumstances. Please be sure to check the latest information on each official website before you go.
