An ethereal world illuminated by torchlight
"The 38th Shinjuku Gyoen Mori no Takigi Noh"

The 38th Shinjuku Gyoen Mori no Takigi Noh will be held, where you can enjoy the traditional performing arts of Noh and Kyogen on the stage of Shinjuku Gyoen. In the heart of Tokyo lined with skyscrapers, this annual autumn event invites you into the refined world of Noh, with a stage lit by torchlight. This year’s program features the Kyogen "Hi no Sake" performed by Mansai Nomura (Izumi school), and the Noh "Funa Benkei (Zengo no Kae)" performed by Tetsunojo Kanze and Atsuo Kanze (Kanze school).
