This event is a puzzle-solving game you can enjoy while moving along JR East’s Yamanote Line. Using a dedicated kit and the ESCAPE.ID app, you will advance the investigation by visiting checkpoints at stations and in surrounding areas.

There is no time limit; you can take breaks or even play across multiple days. Hints are available for first-timers, so you can enjoy the game at your own pace.

The game takes about 5–7 hours including play and travel. To participate, you will need a smartphone or tablet capable of downloading the app.

First, purchase the puzzle kit. You can buy it online and pick it up at a designated location, or purchase it directly at physical stores or online.

Then download the ESCAPE.ID app, link it with the portal site, and complete your registration. Enter the serial code printed on the kit to start the game.

The recommended play hours are 11:00–20:00, except on Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, some areas are off-limits, so certain information can be checked in the app. Some areas are also off-limits before 11:00 and after 20:00.

Stations and facilities are also used by the general public, so please be careful not to obstruct traffic. Using a smartphone while walking is dangerous; stop in a safe place when operating it.
