Exhibition An exhibition exploring the “town” and art “Arts Nakamurabashi 2026—Memories of Me and the Town” Taking place at the Nerima City Art Museum and across the Nakamurabashi town area, “Arts Nakamurabashi 2026—Memories of Me and the Town” is being held. This is the second edition of the “Contemporary Art Exhibition Connecting with the Town,” which began last year. With the theme “Memories of Me and the Town,” works by nine artist groups—including sculpture, painting, photography, architecture, and installations—connect the past and present of the “town” of Nakamurabashi. Exhibition Highlights Enjoy the works while walking around town In this exhibition, not only the Nerima City Art Museum but also various locations in the community, such as Sun Life Nerima and the Santsu Nakamurabashi Shopping Street, will serve as venues. At flower shops, pawnshops, secondhand bookstores, cafés, and gelato shops along the shopping street, you can view small-scale works centered on sculpture and painting. In former shop premises and the former restaurant at Sun Life Nerima, works that make the most of each space’s unique characteristics will also be on display. New works on view at the museum At the Nerima City Art Museum, a new installation with a ceiling painting by 大小島真木 and sculptures, including new works, by 袴田京太朗 will be exhibited in the galleries, the lobby, and in front of the main entrance. Displays inside the museum run until Sunday, October 18, so please pay attention to the dates when you visit. Events around the works will also be held During the exhibition period, we plan a “Guided Tour,” in which the curator in charge will guide visitors through the exhibition sites while explaining the works, as well as a collaboration with the mini-concert “Atrium Mini Stage” held at the Nerima City Office atrium. At the end of the exhibition, the “Art Marché,” now in its fourth year, is also scheduled. In addition to vendor booths at 美術の森緑地, workshops and performing arts events are planned. Recommended for This exhibition is recommended for those who would like to stroll through Tokyo while enjoying contemporary art, and for those who want to feel the connection between the Nakamurabashi area and art. Why not enjoy both the "town" of Nakamurabashi and art by visiting works not only in the museum but also those scattered throughout the shopping streets and around town? 飯田竜太《Filtered Silence 18》2024, books, wood 大小島真木《シシルイルイ》2026, oil, canvas, Kannagara, ceramic, wood, horn (※ based on the plan drawing) ※Please check the venue map for each venue's closed days and opening hours. ※Event details will be announced as they become available on the Events page of the official website. :root { --bg-color: #fcfcfc; --card-bg: #ffffff; --text-main: #111111; --text-muted: #555555; --accent-orange: #ff5500; --accent-orange-light: #fff2ec; --border-color: #e5e5e5; --dark-card: #141414; } * { box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0; padding: 0; } html, body { width: 100%; overflow-x: hidden; background-color: var(--bg-color); color: var(--text-main); font-family: 'Noto Sans JP', 'Noto Sans', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7; letter-spacing: 0.02em; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; } .container { max-width: 860px; width: 100%; margin: 0 auto; padding: 48px 20px; } /* Header Styling */ header { border-bottom: 2px solid var(--text-main); padding-bottom: 32px; margin-bottom: 48px; } .badge { display: inline-block; background-color: var(--accent-orange); color: #ffffff; font-size: 0.75rem; font-weight: 700; padding: 3px 10px; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 0.08em; margin-bottom: 16px; } .main-title { font-size: 1.6rem; font-weight: 700; line-height: 1.35; color: var(--text-main); margin-bottom: 12px; word-break: break-word; } .intro-text { font-size: 0.925rem; color: var(--text-muted); text-align: justify; word-break: break-word; } /* Section Styling */ section { margin-bottom: 56px; width: 100%; } .section-header { margin-bottom: 24px; } .section-title { font-size: 1.3rem; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 0.04em; position: relative; } .section-title::after { content: ''; display: block; width: 36px; height: 3px; background-color: var(--accent-orange); margin-top: 6px; } /* Highlights Layout */ .grid-highlights { display: flex; flex-direction: column; gap: 20px; width: 100%; } .card { background-color: var(--card-bg); border: 1px solid var(--border-color); padding: 24px; width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; transition: border-color 0.3s ease; } .card:hover { border-color: var(--accent-orange); } .card-number { font-size: 0.8rem; font-weight: 700; color: var(--accent-orange); margin-bottom: 8px; display: block; } .card-title { font-size: 1.1rem; font-weight: 700; margin-bottom: 12px; line-height: 1.4; word-break: break-word; } .card-text { font-size: 0.9rem; color: var(--text-muted); word-break: break-word; } .card-text p { margin-bottom: 4px; } .card-text p:last-child { margin-bottom: 0; } /* Recommendation Section */ .recommend-box { border-top: 1px solid var(--border-color); padding-top: 36px; width: 100%; } .recommend-text { font-size: 0.925rem; color: var(--text-main); margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: justify; word-break: break-word; } /* Image Gallery Protection & Responsiveness */ .image-gallery { display: grid; grid-template-columns: repeat(auto-fit, minmax(260px, 1fr)); gap: 20px; margin-bottom: 28px; width: 100%; -webkit-user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none; } .image-frame { background-color: #f4f4f5; border: 1px dashed var(--border-color); border-radius: 4px; padding: 12px; display: flex; flex-direction: column; align-items: center; justify-content: center; width: 100%; overflow: hidden; } .image-frame img { max-width: 100%; width: 100%; height: auto; display: block; object-fit: contain; pointer-events: none; } .image-caption { font-size: 0.75rem; color: var(--text-muted); margin-top: 8px; text-align: center; word-break: break-word; line-height: 1.4; } /* Notes List */ .notes-list { list-style: none; background-color: #f4f4f5; padding: 20px 20px 20px 32px; width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; } .notes-list li { font-size: 0.825rem; color: var(--text-muted); margin-bottom: 6px; text-indent: -1.2em; word-break: break-word; } .notes-list li:last-child { margin-bottom: 0; } /* Responsive Design */ @media (max-width: 768px) { .main-title { font-size: 1.4rem; } .container { padding: 32px 16px; } .card { padding: 20px; } .image-gallery { grid-template-columns: 1fr; } }
