An autumn festival where diverse cultures and people come together 「第49回 渋谷区くみんの広場 ふるさと渋谷フェスティバル2026」 Over two days, Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8, 2026, centered around the Yoyogi Park Event Square, the “第49回 渋谷区くみんの広場 ふるさと渋谷フェスティバル2026” will be held. First launched in Showa 53 (1978), this annual Shibuya Ward event marks its 49th edition this year. The theme is “Gather in Shibuya! This is a scramble marché of diverse cultures.” For two days, local organizations and exchange cities from Japan and abroad will gather, offering opportunities to experience a variety of cultures and regional charms. Festival Highlights Enjoy music and dance on stage Stages around the venue will feature a wide range of performances, including choral singing, instrumental music, traditional dances, and contemporary dance. On Saturday, November 7, a parade by youth groups mainly comprising local elementary school students is also planned. Discover gourmet foods and specialties from various regions About 130 groups will participate, including organizations within the ward, embassies, and municipalities that have ties with Shibuya Ward. In the tents, there will be exhibitions, consultations, and sales of food and local products, allowing you to enjoy the charms of different regions. Sports experiences and family-friendly programs At the ball field and basketball court, sports experience programs will be offered with cooperation from professional sports teams. In addition, a stamp rally and an animal interaction corner are also planned. On Sunday, November 8, there will be free distribution of apples from Iida City, Nagano Prefecture (limited quantities), as well as ice sculpture creation and displays. Recommended for This event is recommended for those who want to experience cultures and local specialties from across Japan, and for those who enjoy music, dance, and sports. Why not spend a lively time in Yoyogi Park in autumn, feeling the appeal of exchanges that transcend regions and countries—a different vibe from the streets of Shibuya? ※ Event details are subject to change.
