[UNIQLO × Hirota Glass “UTme!” Collaboration]
On Friday, September 25th, the grand reopening of “UNIQLO Arca Kit Kinshicho Store” will feature the collaboration products with Hirota Glass through “UTme!”.
Hirota Glass incorporates a variety of Edo kiriko patterns such as hemp leaf, seven treasures, and basket figures, choosing designs from the woodblock catalogs used during the post-war era when exporting glassware overseas.
The two elements of Edo kiriko and woodblock design are expressed as the company’s design.
Kinshicho and Sumida areas have a rich history supported by many glassware factories and craftsmen, sustaining Tokyo’s glassware industry.
Sumida Ward still breathes with a culture of various manufacturing.
