This time I tried the restaurant's signature
《Goku Course》.
First was
〈Appetizer〉 Seasonal small dish
The first to be served was octopus 🐙
Chewy texture with a bounce every bite,
it immediately made me think “This is going to be promising…”
〈Grilled Dish〉 Assorted grilled vegetables
The eggplant was hot and tender inside, and the lotus root thin and crispy!
Simple yet cooked to perfection, clearly bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients 🍆.
〈Sashimi〉 Assortment of five fresh fishes
- Fresh bluefin tuna from Nagasaki (never frozen)
- Flounder from Ibaraki
- Bigeye tuna from Chiba
- Yellowtail from Tottori
The firmness and flavor were incomparable,
Particularly, the fresh bluefin tuna melted in the mouth, it was surprising ✨️.
〈Simmered Dish〉 Braised Kimmedai
The flavor wasn’t too strong, just the right balance.
The marinade allowed you to fully enjoy the rich taste of Kimmedai, it was very refined 🐟💕.
〈Fried Dish〉 Satsuma-age Kimmedai
Hot and chewy.
The combination with soy sauce and ginger was surprisingly good,
a simple yet memorable dish ☺️.
〈Hot Pot Dish〉 Kimmedai Shabu-shabu
The Kimmedai used here can also be enjoyed as sashimi,
just a quick dip is enough!
It was advised not to overdo, or it would break apart.
The broth was infused with the rich flavor of Kimmedai, really delicious 🐟.
The meal ends with
〈Main Course〉 Kimmedai Clay Pot Rice
Plenty of quantity, very satisfying.
It can also be enjoyed by pouring the hot pot Kimmedai broth over it, allowing you to savor Kimmedai until the very end 🫶🏻💕
Finally,
〈Dessert〉 Warabi Mochi
Chewy, having a dessert at the end of the course is truly gratifying…!
