Turning “broken” into “beauty.” Experience the profound world of kintsugi in Asakusa

A kintsugi experience studio in Asakusa, Tokyo, where tradition and creativity come alive
Tsugu Tsugu - Asakusa Studio

Located in Asakusa, where Tokyo’s history and culture intersect, “つぐつぐ浅草店” is a special place where you can experience kintsugi—the embodiment of traditional Japanese beauty.

Our concept is to help visitors from Japan and abroad deeply understand and enjoy the kintsugi philosophy of “repair what is broken and keep using it.”

At Tsugu Tsugu, we offer a wide range of workshops, from authentic kintsugi using natural urushi lacquer and pure gold to casual, enjoyable accessory making.

Experienced artisans provide careful guidance, so even beginners can confidently engage with traditional Japanese crafts.

Another highlight is our excellent location within walking distance of Asakusa Station.

Finished accessories can be taken home the same day—perfect for those who want to enjoy the beauty of Kintsugi casually.
