The ultimate private art museum enveloped in Yayoi Kusama’s infinite universe
【Yayoi Kusama Museum】
Located in Waseda, Tokyo, the Yayoi Kusama Museum is a one-of-a-kind institution founded by the world-renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama and operated by the Yayoi Kusama Foundation. Since opening in October 2017, it has promoted and disseminated her art through exhibitions of Kusama’s works and related materials, aiming to advance the arts as a whole.
Through approximately two special exhibitions a year, the museum presents key works from Kusama’s early period to the present, alongside lectures, archival displays, and other multifaceted programs. It seeks to share with the world the universal message Kusama has consistently conveyed through her work—world peace and love for humanity—and to serve as a hub that brings contemporary art closer to everyone.
Immerse yourself in the infinite nets, polka dots, and the immersive worlds she creates. Each visitor will encounter her intense inner universe and leave with new discoveries and inspiration.
