The large-scale roller coaster “Bandit,” a symbol of Yomiuriland, hurtles along a 1,560 m course at a top speed of 110 km/h. Making use of the mountainous terrain, the course lets you enjoy different scenery with each season—racing through cherry blossoms in spring and illuminations in winter is part of its appeal.
2. Hands-on manufacturing experience area “Goodjoba!!”
Comprised of five industries—automotive, food, fashion, stationery, and health—this area brings together attractions and workshops themed around the manufacturing processes of familiar products. There are plenty of learn-through-play experiences, such as the “My U.F.O. Factory” where you can create your own Nissin Yakisoba U.F.O., and the “Custom Garage” where you can customize parts yourself.
3. Gemstone-colored brilliance loved by the world: “Jewellumination”
At “Yomiuriland”, “Jewellumination” is held every year from autumn through spring. As one of the largest illumination events in the Kanto region, the entire park is enveloped in a dreamlike space of shimmering light.
Produced by a world-renowned lighting designer and inspired by gemstones, the illuminations color the park with a different theme each year, unfolding a magical world of light woven by approximately 6.5 million LEDs. In particular, the dynamic fountain show synchronized with light and music is a must-see.
