NATURE COLLECTION: The main exhibition consisting of 16 display stands. With beautiful seasonal flowers and plants sealed in acrylic resin and lifelike insect specimens captured at the very moment of taking flight, you can experience Mt. Takao’s rich nature any time of year.
NATURE WALL: The symbol of Mt. Takao’s abundant nature—“ブナ”—and the animals that live around it. Using projection mapping to cast images, you can experience the seasonal ecosystems in a dynamic and humorous way.
599 GUIDE: Head to Mt. Takao eager to know more and understand more. This three-monitor corner, organized around three themes, lets you prepare before your climb. Engaging, humorous videos stimulate your curiosity and make learning about Mt. Takao fun.
PLAY MOUNTAIN: A small play mountain that reproduces Mt. Takao’s undulating terrain. Even children who are not yet ready to climb can easily get a feel for the mountain.
PUBLIC GALLERY: A public space that conveys the warmth of Tama-sourced wood. Fully equipped with a projector, it accommodates a wide range of uses.
Cafe & Shop (CAFE & SHOP):
599 CAFE: A café lined with tables and chairs made from Tama-sourced wood, overlooking the lawn. Enjoy authentic coffee and a comfortable moment of relaxation.
599 SHOP: A museum shop brimming with the unique character of the Takao 599 Museum. We carry original goods that make you want to savor Mt. Takao’s nature even more and share the excitement of your visit with family and friends.
Garden (GARDEN):
599 GARDEN: In the relaxing lawn plaza are the monument “599 BENCH(ベンチ)”—whose numbers 599 make it a striking photo spot—and “じゃぶじゃぶ池”, a perfect water-play area for children, symbolizing this museum of gathering and relaxation.
