Jump into the world of picture books! A kids' park where parents and children play, learn, and nurture sensibility

An imaginative kids' park where you can experience the world of Eric Carle's picture books
【PLAY! PARK ERIC CARLE】

"PLAY! PARK ERIC CARLE" is the world's only kids' park themed around the world of Eric Carle's picture books, the author of the globally beloved picture book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Located inside the Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center in Setagaya, Tokyo, it boasts outstanding access, being directly connected to the Tokyu Den-en-toshi and Oimachi Lines at "Futako-Tamagawa Station." Based on Eric Carle's belief in "learning through play," we provide a variety of experiences that allow children to use their five senses, learn through play, and grow. For children stepping away from home and into the world of reason and abstraction, we hope this park will serve as a "bridge."

1. Enjoy with all five senses: the "Green Maze" and "Athletics"

In the "Green Maze" made of green hedges, you can choose your path from three entrances and enjoy the adventure of getting lost while searching for the exit. Also, in the "Athletics" area made by Sweden’s HAGS, you can climb, descend, hang, and slide, moving your whole body to your heart’s content. Through play, it promotes healthy development in children.

4. A safe "Baby Area" and workshops enjoyable from age 0

PLAY! PARK ERIC CARLE is a facility where even babies from 0 years old can safely have fun. In the “Baby Area,” prioritized for 0–1-year-olds, there are play equipment by Germany’s HABA designed to match children’s growth and development, along with warm wooden toys, and activities to stimulate the five senses are prepared throughout the space.

We also hold a wide range of workshops every day on a rotating schedule, such as “PLAY! PAPER! BABY!”, where children can enjoy the feel of paint without getting their hands dirty while creating artwork, and workshops where babies can enjoy crawling and toddling. Nursing rooms, diaper-changing tables, and a water dispenser for preparing baby formula are fully equipped, so you can spend the whole day here with peace of mind even with little ones.
