Tokyo Origami Museum is a facility dedicated to sharing the charm of Japan’s traditional art of origami and spreading its culture around the world.
Operated by the Nippon Origami Association (NOA), it not only exhibits intricate works but also serves as a central hub connecting origami enthusiasts across the globe.
With a mission to present “ORIGAMI” as a universal word and convey its beauty, the museum offers visitors a profound experience—from simple folds to the complex structures that emerge from them.
The museum showcases a wide range of origami works, from traditional cranes (orizuru) to modern and complex pieces such as dragons, animals, and tessellations (polyhedra). Exhibits are updated regularly according to themes and events, so there is always something new to discover with each visit.
Origami classes are conducted by instructors certified by the Nippon Origami Association, with courses available at various levels—from basics for beginners to advanced classes aimed at obtaining instructor certification.
A wide selection of origami paper in various colors, patterns, and sizes, as well as instructional books for everyone from beginners to advanced users, lets you challenge yourself to create your own original works.
