A premium planetarium offering an unforgettable starry-sky experience, with overwhelming visual beauty and acoustics created by the latest technology and a variety of effects that satisfy all five senses.
Leave the bustle of Ginza behind and be enveloped in coolness and fantasy
Step away from the bustle of Ginza and enjoy a moment filled with coolness and fantasy.
Located inside Yurakucho Marion, “Konica Minolta Planetaria TOKYO” is an “entertainment space for adults” that goes beyond the conventional planetarium.
Inside are two dome theaters with distinct features: in DOME1, up to 8K high-resolution imagery projects starry skies and films with breathtaking beauty. Meanwhile, DOME2 introduces a spatial audio system and original aromas, allowing you to enjoy an immersive experience that envelops the senses.
There is also a café and gift shop, where you can find star-themed drinks and goods. It is a spot where you can spend a special time that satisfies sight, hearing, and even smell.
Highlights
1. Limited-time special events that celebrate the seasons
At Planetaria TOKYO, seasonally themed events are held throughout the year. During my visit, I was able to experience the limited-time event "Starry Sky Summer Festival" held in the summer of 2025. Inside the dome, productions themed around fireworks and constellations unfolded, and booths inspired by traditional festival stalls lined the space, offering a magical setting where you could soak up the summer festival atmosphere.
【Note】 The "Starry Sky Summer Festival" we experienced was a limited-time exhibition (held until September 23, 2025). It is not currently being held. For the latest event information, please check the official website.
▲An enchanting, dreamlike space spreading inside the dome
▲Playful booths such as "Star-viewing Café" and "Senbonbiki" line the area.
▲Rediscover childlike fun with "Star Scooping."
2. Overwhelming immersion brought to life by cutting-edge technology
The two dome theaters bring together the latest technologies that Konica Minolta is proud of.
In DOME1, images are projected so that they envelop the space from the floor to the apex of the dome. The ultra-high-resolution imagery of up to 8K made it feel as if you had been thrown into outer space.
In DOME2, the 3D sound system "SOUND DOME®" is installed. The realistic audio coming from all directions, together with the Nishijin-ori sofa "Galaxy Seat", created a supreme relaxation space. In the healing program, the scent of an original aroma was added, allowing you to enjoy the starry sky with all five senses.

3. A Café & Gift Shop to linger in the afterglow of the starry sky
There is an attached café and gift shop where you can continue to enjoy the starry-sky atmosphere even after the show. A nice perk is that you can use them even without a planetarium ticket.
Cafe Planetaria is based on the concept of “a café you encounter while traveling through the galaxy.” Photogenic menu items with beautiful presentation include the “Nebula Soft-Serve,” inspired by nebulae, and “Galaxy Doughnuts” that look like planets.
Gallery Planetaria is themed as ”A mysterious gift shop somewhere in the galaxy”, selling miscellaneous goods and accessories related to space and stars, as well as original merchandise. It was perfect for finding gifts for loved ones or a souvenir for yourself.
