A soothing moment in an urban oasis

A relaxing Tokyo spot surrounded by nature and art in the heart of Roppongi and Aoyama
Aoyama Park

Despite being in the city center—just a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line「Nogizaka」Station, 5 minutes from Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Hanzomon Line and the Toei Oedo Line「Aoyama-itchome」Station, and 10 minutes from Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line「Roppongi」Station—Aoyama Park provides a serene space that lets you forget the bustle. Located around the perimeter of Aoyama Cemetery, it is divided into a north area adjacent to the Akasaka Imperial Grounds and Meiji Jingu Gaien, and a south area close to the National Art Center, Tokyo and Roppongi Hills, each with its own distinct charm. Loved by many as a place for businesspeople to take a breather, for families to relax, and for travelers to experience Tokyo’s nature and art.

1. The diverse charms of the “North Area” and “South Area”

Aoyama Park is a vast site divided into the “North Area” and the “South Area.” In the North Area, you’ll find beautiful flowers in volunteer-tended beds, a children’s playground where little ones can play safely, and a spacious lawn—perfect for families.
Meanwhile, the South Area features an event plaza and a multipurpose plaza, used for various events and sports activities. Its appeal lies in being able to enjoy diverse nature and activities while still in the heart of the city.

2. The new attraction “わくわくスクエア”

Opened in February 2023, “わくわくスクエア” is a new highlight of Aoyama Park. It features distinctive monument-style play equipment and an artificial-turf mound, offering a plaza where you can relax while taking in city views. It’s a playful space that brings smiles to everyone from children to adults, and it is open from 9:00 to 16:30.

3. Seasonal flowers and stunning urban vistas

Throughout the year, Aoyama Park delights visitors with different flowers each season. In spring, flowering peach and Ukon cherry; in summer, crape myrtle and sunflowers; in autumn, red spider lily and Japanese maple; in winter, plum blossoms and wintersweet—the park is colored by beautiful seasonal blooms. The contrast between this natural beauty and urban scenery such as Roppongi Hills creates views unique to Aoyama Park that leave a deep impression on visitors.
