& OIMO TOKYO CAFE Naka-Meguro: Tried the perfect summer shaved ice! 🍧✨️

I tried two kinds this time!

🍵 Mango and Honey Sweet Potato Matcha Shaved Ice
🍯 Fig and Honey Sweet Potato Tea Milk Ice

The main dish I tried was "Izumo Matcha × Mango" 💚

A bittersweet Izumo matcha paired with the refreshing acidity of mango, creamy soft serve, and rich honey sweet potato cream—a fusion of Japanese and Western shaved ice delicacies! ✨️

The matcha was mellow with a mild sweetness—an adult taste. 🍵 As you eat, the homemade mango sauce and condensed milk sauce overlap, gradually altering the flavor which was so enjoyable!

Plus, from inside the ice, there are chunks of mango flesh and crunchy gluten-free granola hidden inside, making it delightful to find! 💗

It was finished with a rice flour monaka filled with Gennao sweet potato paste✨️ Matcha whipped cream and honey sweet potato cream are also added, allowing you to enjoy various textures and flavors until the end. 🥰

My friend had the "Fig and Honey Sweet Potato Tea Milk Ice," a cup combining seasonal figs, tea, and rich honey sweet potato cream. 🍯

There is also tea jelly inside, providing a wonderful roasted tea aroma✨️ The texture accents like walnut pralines add depth and, as it melts, it turns into a royal milk tea-like flavor. ☕️✨️

It's amazing how you can enjoy such a satisfying gluten-free taste…! 😻✨️

For drinks, we also tried
🍵 Matcha Latte Ice (with almond milk)
🍃 Original Sencha Hot

The matcha latte uses Izumo matcha from Shimane Prefecture, making it a perfect match with a gentle sweetness aligning well with the shaved ice. 💚 The sencha is refreshing and comforting. 😊

The shop is filled with delicious-looking sweet potato sweets and souvenirs… 🍠🍪 It's all so tempting that I want to eat everything! 😂

I’m interested in the sweet potato sweets other than shaved ice, so I want to visit again soon!🙏🍠🥭
