🍙 At Nikuiki Yamamoto in Nishiazabu ✨

In Nishiazabu for 23 years
A sophisticated yakiniku restaurant chosen for business meetings and anniversaries, and this time we tried a special course. 🥳

It's more of a 'meat cuisine' experience rather than just a regular yakiniku 🍽
They focus on female black wagyu cattle over 30 months old, selecting the best condition meat available without being fixed to brand or origin ✨

Plus, the meat is sliced right in front of you, and grilled to perfection piece by piece 🔥
You can witness the process from cutting to the moment it's cooked, which is quite the experience...!

The meal began with a summer vegetable soup 🍲
Starting with a seasonally-inspired dish was lovely ✨

The roast beef came with flavors like American cherry compote and mustard 🍒
Combined on a baguette, the sweet-sour taste matched the tender meat perfectly—delicious!

And the variety of salts was amazing!

The restaurant boasts about 40 different kinds of salts, and that day we compared 7 kinds 🧂✨

Arranged from spicy to mild in a clockwise order,
Pairing strong-salty for fatty meats,
And gentle ones for lean cuts,
Adapting based on the meat, bringing happiness 🥰

Besides sudachi, ponzu, dipping sauce,
Pickled ginger, and wasabi,
The different tastes even with the same cut were enjoyable 💖

Thick-cut tongue, Uchirahira, sirloin 🥩
The kombu-marinated tongue was so fresh you’d call it “juicy”—truly delicious 😢

Uchirahira was chewy,
And sirloin was exceptional both plain and with ponzu ✨

The tender harami was juicy and melted away as you chewed ✨

The special fillet of black wagyu was
Tender, chewy, juicy...
It disintegrated in the mouth 🥳💖

Nagasaki-sourced sirloin tasted best with a hint of sansho ✨️

Finished with homemade beef curry made with slow-simmered tendons 🍛
Loaded with meat, tasty enough you'd want it as a standalone meal 😆

Dessert was a peach and black tea tiramisu parfait 🍑
The mascarpone richness with iced peach and tea aroma was a perfect balance till the end 💕

This time, the premium all-you-can-drink lineup was indeed impressive 🍷✨

Including champagne,
White wines like Chablis, red wines like Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet,
Even Japanese sake, shochu, whiskies, cocktails—a broad selection!

Heaven for wine lovers,
And non-alcoholic and pairing drinks were delightful too,
Pleasant for those who aren’t strong drinkers 🥂

The live feeling of seeing the course being prepared in front of you,
Varied salts and condiments by cut,
Beverages to complement each dish—
A “yakiniku course meal” enjoyed from start to finish 🥩✨

Calm and relaxed settings make it perfect not only for anniversaries and dates,
But also dining with important ones is highly recommended 💖
