Just a 2-minute walk from Shin-Okachimachi Station, “魚旬かねしょう” is an adult-oriented hideaway for fish lovers. Our parent company is a broker in Hokuriku. Every morning we ship directly, via our own channels, freshly caught wild local fish purchased at auction right at the port. This is why we proudly offer outstanding freshness at surprising prices.
In addition to Hokuriku specialties like のどぐろ and ガス海老, we receive many rare fish you can encounter only that day. Sashimi and charcoal-grilled dishes crafted by seasoned artisans are truly exceptional.
Also, as a cooperating restaurant for promoting monkfish cuisine, our signature “あんこう鍋” is a must-try. Please savor the rich liver and springy flesh to your heart’s content.
We stock over 30 kinds of local sake from Hokuriku, perfect for pairing with seasonal fish dishes. In our calm, relaxing interior, take your time and enjoy the genuine deliciousness of fish.
■ Specialty: Monkfish Hot Pot This is our signature dish as a cooperating restaurant promoting monkfish cuisine. In our special broth enriched with rich liver, you can savor every part, flesh and skin alike. Even the finishing rice porridge is exquisite.
■ Wild Yellowtail Shabu-Shabu We offer the best yellowtail of the season, including the top brand "Himi Kanburi" from Himi, Toyama. Lightly swish it in dashi and enjoy its melt-in-your-mouth umami and premium fat.
■ Nodoguro Shabu-Shabu Enjoy the high-end fish "nodoguro," known as the "toro of white fish," in luxurious shabu-shabu. A specialty unique to us that you won't easily find elsewhere.
Our in-store blackboard is lined with fresh fish just purchased at auction that day. In addition to sashimi platters, you can also order dishes prepared to your liking, such as "namero" or "cheese carpaccio." What’s available is part of the day’s fun—feel free to ask our staff.
We always carry over 30 carefully selected sake, mainly from the Hokuriku region. We can also make recommendations to suit your preferences—such as "Which sake goes with this fish?" Find your perfect pairing.
From Tuesday to Friday, we also offer a value-priced lunch service. Enjoy Kaneshou’s flavors that differ from the evening, with seafood bowls and grilled fish set meals made with plenty of fresh seafood.
