Enjoy traditional Russian regional cuisine!
『Russian Cuisine Chaika』

This time, we're introducing 『Russian Cuisine Chaika』, located a 1-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. Opened in 1972, this popular restaurant offers authentic Russian cuisine.

Classic Russian fare!
Authentic-tasting "Borscht"

One of the restaurant’s popular dishes is borscht (700 yen), often counted among the world’s three great soups. Simmered for hours with meat, vegetables, and beets, the soup has a gentle flavor; the meat is tender, and you can fully savor the natural sweetness of the vegetables.

「ボルシチ」

Enjoy traditional Russian cuisine
with lunch set menus!

For lunch, value-priced courses and set menus are available. The recommended "Troika Set" (1,500 yen) includes the chef’s choice salad, borscht, pirozhki, a pot-baked dish, and chai (Russian tea) or coffee—a thoroughly satisfying set menu.

A warm, inviting
homey atmosphere is part of the charm

The interior evokes the feel of a country house known in Russian as a "dacha," creating a homey space with a touch of nostalgia. Meticulously curated details add a sense of luxury and lift your spirits.

Savor it with a sense of travel
Family-friendly Russian cuisine

The owner opened the restaurant out of a desire to share in Japan the Russian cuisine they couldn’t forget after tasting it in Russia. Bringing baby food and entering with a stroller are allowed, so even those with infants can visit with ease. The restaurant also provides Russian picture books, allowing parents and children to enjoy moments of engaging with Russian culture. “Traveling with small children is still difficult, but I’d like to enjoy foreign cuisine once in a while” — Russian Cuisine Chaika makes that wish come true.
