Ota Ward Gourmet2026.09.26
Kamata Big Dating Festival
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Ota City Industrial Plaza PiO, we will host a large networking event exclusively for people in their 20s and 30s, 「蒲田BIG恋活フェス」! Beyond matching apps, we want to create a place to meet where people can actually see each other face to face and talk naturally while sharing the same time and space. With that in mind, this is a community-based dating event planned to be held in Kamata. “In everyday life, there are few opportunities to meet new people” “It’s hard to grasp someone’s vibe through a matching app” “Formal marriage-hunting parties make me a bit nervous” We aim to offer a casual networking event that helps people in their 20s and 30s take the first step with ease. The venue is about a 3-minute walk from Keikyu Kamata Station. It’s a standing, free-mingling style event for up to 250 people, where you can socialize while enjoying light snacks and all-you-can-drink. It’s not a format where you talk to assigned partners in turn. You can move freely around the venue and enjoy conversations at your own pace with anyone who interests you. First-timers and solo attendees are very welcome! You can also join with friends. Of course, those looking for a partner are welcome, and so are those who “just want to talk to new people first.” Please feel free to join us.

National Museum of Nature and Science × Research Institute for Humanity and Nature Joint Special Exhibition "What Shall We Do, Humans? — Questioning Earth’s Future from the Frontlines of Research"
Special Exhibition National Museum of Nature and Science×Research Institute for Humanity and Nature Joint Exhibition “What Shall We Do, Humans―Questioning the Future of the Earth from the Frontlines of Research” Considering the future of the Earth and humanity through “What Shall We Do, Humans” At the National Museum of Nature and Science, the joint exhibition with the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, “What Shall We Do, Humans — Questioning the Future of the Earth from the Frontlines of Research,” is being held. This exhibition views global environmental issues as matters of “the relationship between people and nature” and “ways of human life,” and introduces research cases and activities that the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature has pursued to date. It is an exhibition that provides an opportunity to reconsider our relationship with the Earth. Exhibition Highlights POINT 01 Introduced in three chapters: “Noticing,” “Reframing,” and “Keep Questioning” The exhibition is structured in three chapters—“Noticing,” “Reframing,” and “Keep Questioning.” Starting from familiar aspects such as the things we use and eat in daily life and where we live, it turns our attention to the “connections between people and nature” and seeks clues to the roots of environmental issues and their solutions. Furthermore, through initiatives of people confronting environmental problems around the world, it invites reflection on the question, “How shall we live?” POINT 02 Four transdisciplinary research projects in the Central Hall In the Central Hall’s “Forest of Questions,” four transdisciplinary research projects are presented, conducted with tropical rainforest hunter-gatherers; island residents of coral reefs together with artists; people in satoyama regions; and people in desertification areas alongside researchers. It is an exhibition where you can think about the global environment while talking with researchers and writing down your own ideas. POINT 03 A casual chance to talk with researchers: “かたろう、ニンゲン” Within the venue, the program 「対話の縁側『かたろう、ニンゲン』」, where researchers from various fields at 地球研 stay on site during the period, is also being held. You can casually talk with researchers about the exhibits, daily life, and the environment, and also join mini-programs. From September 8 (Tue) to 13 (Sun), researchers will be present with the theme 「Humans and Nature Living Together: SATOYAMA」; from September 15 (Tue) to 23 (Wed, holiday), the theme will be 「How to Protect Wildlife」. Researchers will be present from 10:00–11:30 and 14:00–15:30. ※There may be times when researchers are absent or programs are canceled. POINT 04 Related events also taking place During the exhibition period, related events that let you enjoy the exhibits more deeply—such as talks by researchers and theater performances—are also being held. On September 23 (Wed, holiday), in addition to the talk event 「Reframing Environmental Issues」, a closing event to wrap up the exhibition is planned. Recommended for Recommended for those who want to learn about the global environment and nature, who are interested in science and research, or who want to enjoy an intellectual experience in Ueno, Tokyo. Through the exhibition, while reflecting on the connections between everyday life and the global environment, why not consider, “How should we live from now on?” © National Museum of Nature and Science © National Museum of Nature and Science ※The contents of exhibits and events are subject to change. ※Some related events require advance registration and are decided by lottery. ※For 「かたろう、ニンゲン」, researchers may be absent or programs may be canceled. ※Please check the official website for the latest information. :root { --bg-color: #fcfcfc; --card-bg: #ffffff; --text-main: #111111; --text-muted: #555555; --accent-orange: #ff5500; --accent-orange-light: #fff2ec; --border-color: #e5e5e5; --dark-card: #141414; } * { box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0; padding: 0; } html, body { width: 100%; overflow-x: hidden; } body { background-color: var(--bg-color); color: var(--text-main); font-family: 'Noto Sans JP', 'Noto Sans', -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7; letter-spacing: 0.02em; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; } .container { max-width: 860px; width: 100%; margin: 0 auto; padding: 48px 20px; } /* Header Styling */ header { border-bottom: 2px solid var(--text-main); padding-bottom: 32px; margin-bottom: 48px; } .badge { display: inline-block; background-color: var(--accent-orange); color: #ffffff; font-size: 0.75rem; font-weight: 700; padding: 3px 10px; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 0.08em; margin-bottom: 16px; } .main-title { font-size: 1.6rem; font-weight: 700; line-height: 1.35; color: var(--text-main); margin-bottom: 12px; word-break: break-word; } .subtitle { font-size: 1rem; font-weight: 500; color: var(--accent-orange); margin-bottom: 24px; word-break: break-word; } .intro-text { font-size: 0.925rem; color: var(--text-muted); text-align: justify; word-break: break-word; } /* Section Styling */ section { margin-bottom: 56px; width: 100%; } .section-header { margin-bottom: 24px; } .section-title { font-size: 1.3rem; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 0.04em; position: relative; } .section-title::after { content: ''; display: block; width: 36px; height: 3px; background-color: var(--accent-orange); margin-top: 6px; } /* Highlights Layout */ .grid-highlights { display: flex; flex-direction: column; gap: 20px; width: 100%; } .card { background-color: var(--card-bg); border: 1px solid var(--border-color); padding: 24px; width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; transition: border-color 0.3s ease; } .card:hover { border-color: var(--accent-orange); } .card-number { font-size: 0.8rem; font-weight: 700; color: var(--accent-orange); margin-bottom: 8px; display: block; } .card-title { font-size: 1.05rem; font-weight: 700; margin-bottom: 12px; line-height: 1.4; word-break: break-word; } .card-text { font-size: 0.9rem; color: var(--text-muted); text-align: justify; word-break: break-word; } /* Recommendation Section */ .recommend-box { border-top: 1px solid var(--border-color); padding-top: 36px; width: 100%; } .recommend-text { font-size: 0.925rem; color: var(--text-main); margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: justify; word-break: break-word; } /* Image Gallery */ .image-gallery { display: grid; grid-template-columns: repeat(auto-fit, minmax(260px, 1fr)); gap: 20px; margin-bottom: 28px; width: 100%; } .image-frame { background-color: #f4f4f5; border: 1px dashed var(--border-color); border-radius: 4px; padding: 12px; display: flex; flex-direction: column; align-items: center; justify-content: center; width: 100%; position: relative; overflow: hidden; /* Giữ ảnh không tràn ra khỏi khung */ } /* CHẶN COPY, KÉO THẢ VÀ TỐI ƯU HIỂN THỊ HÌNH ẢNH */ .image-frame img { width: 100%; max-width: 100%; height: auto; max-height: 350px; /* Giới hạn chiều cao để xem preview gọn gàng */ display: block; object-fit: contain; /* Đảm bảo toàn bộ ảnh hiển thị trọn vẹn, không bị bóp méo */ /* Vô hiệu化 bôi đen & kéo thả hình ảnh */ user-select: none; -webkit-user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; -webkit-user-drag: none; /* Bỏ tương tác chuột trực tiếp lên ảnh (chặn chuột phải lưu ảnh) */ pointer-events: none; } .image-caption { font-size: 0.75rem; color: var(--text-muted); margin-top: 8px; text-align: center; word-break: break-word; line-height: 1.4; } /* Notes List */ .notes-list { list-style: none; background-color: #f4f4f5; padding: 20px 20px 20px 32px; width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; } .notes-list li { font-size: 0.825rem; color: var(--text-muted); margin-bottom: 6px; text-indent: -1.2em; word-break: break-word; } .notes-list li:last-child { margin-bottom: 0; } /* Responsive Design */ @media (max-width: 768px) { .main-title { font-size: 1.4rem; } .subtitle { font-size: 0.95rem; } .container { padding: 32px 16px; } .card { padding: 20px; } .image-gallery { grid-template-columns: 1fr; } .image-frame img { max-height: 250px; } }

TOP Collection: Tomorrow’s Dining Table
Collection Exhibition Tokyo Photographic Art Museum “TOP Collection: Tomorrow’s Dining Table” Now Open A photography exhibition that looks at food and reflects on how we live At the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, the exhibition “TOP Collection: Tomorrow’s Dining Table,” which explores the relationship between “food” and “living” through photography and moving images, is being held. The venue is the 3rd-floor exhibition gallery of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. The exhibition runs from Thursday, July 2 to Monday (national holiday), September 21, 2026. “TOP Collection” is a series of exhibitions that presents approximately 39,000 photographic and moving-image works in the museum’s collection from a variety of perspectives. Using “food” as a key to view the works, this exhibition invites consideration of issues faced by contemporary society such as population aging and eating alone. Through dining tables depicted in photographs and videos, it invites each visitor to reflect on “eating” and “living together.” Considering food and society across four galleries ROOM 01 Room 1 “Back Then, at That Table” Featuring works by five artists—島尾伸三、原美樹子、野口里佳、潮田登久子、川内倫子—on the theme of memories of family and personal dining tables. It turns our gaze to everyday food scenes that suddenly resurface in memory and to the dining table as an accumulation of memories. ROOM 02 Room 2 “Between Food and Place” Through works by 奈良原一高、山田實、宮本隆司、竹谷出, the exhibition re-examines ties between land and food. From urban eateries to fisheries and practices that pray for bountiful harvests and catches, it considers how food has been connected to each locale. The series 〈にほんのかけら〉 by 竹谷出 will be exhibited here for the first time since entering the museum’s collection. ROOM 03 Room 3 “Within the Environment” Through works by 宮崎学、土田ヒロミ、楢橋朝子、岩井優, the exhibition considers the relationship between human activity and the natural environment. Against the backdrop of issues surrounding food and daily life—such as fluctuations in food prices, changes in wildlife habitats, and reputational damage to food following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident triggered by the Great East Japan Earthquake—it examines the relationship between our lives and the environment. ROOM 04 Room 4 “Tomorrow’s Dining Table” This section considers the future of food—how we will eat from now on. As aging, solitary eating, and the rise in single-person households change the environment surrounding food, we introduce 折元立身’s “Grandmother’s Lunch” series. The series documents scenes of sharing meals with local seniors at Ryusenji Temple in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, and a communication-art project inviting 500 grandmothers to a monastery in Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city in Portugal, where they dance, sing, and gather around the table. This chapter invites us to reconsider the joy of sharing a table and, through connections with others, the meaning of “living together.” Film Screenings and Collaboration Menu During the exhibition period, films themed around “food” and lifestyle — 『かもめ食堂』, 『めがね』, and 『土を喰らう十二ヵ月』 — will be screened at the first-floor hall of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. In addition, at the first-floor Café From Top, you can enjoy the exhibition’s collaboration menu, including “Watermelon Cake” and a one-plate dish of duck rice and pumpkin soup. Furthermore, at “WINE MARKET PARTY” on the basement first floor of Ebisu Garden Place, special offers are available for visitors who present a ticket for this exhibition. Recommended for “TOP Collection: Tomorrow’s Dining Table” is an exhibition that, through photography and video, reflects on meals with family, the ties between communities and food, the natural environment, and the dining table of the future. As it presents a wide range of works on the theme of food, it is suitable not only for those interested in photographic works, but also for those who wish to view everyday memories and social change from a new perspective. It is also recommended for those who want to enjoy a cultural experience in Tokyo alongside sightseeing, shopping, and dining in the Ebisu area. Exhibition view Photo: いしかわみちこ Exhibition view Photo: いしかわみちこ ※ Closed on Mondays during the exhibition period. However, if Monday is a national holiday, the museum will be open and closed on the following weekday. ※ Programs are subject to change due to various circumstances. The Paper Log: Membrane and Nucleus — a collaborative project by Issey Miyake with Ensemble Studio
Special Exhibition 「The Paper Log: Membrane and Core — A collaborative project between Issey Miyake and Ensemble Studio」 At 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT (Gallery 3), the special exhibition 「The Paper Log: Membrane and Core — A collaborative project between Issey Miyake and Ensemble Studio」 is being held. This exhibition is a project that explores new value in the by-product “Paper Log” generated during Issey Miyake’s pleating process. Conceived by Satoshi Kondo of MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO, a collaboration with the Spanish architectural unit “Ensemble Studio” has been realized. Inspired by the beautiful, tree-ring-like cross-sections of the Paper Log, an experimental and highly creative approach is being developed. Highlights of the Exhibition A dialog between “Membrane” and “Core” Membrane (Shell) — Ensemble Studio: By peeling off the layers of the Paper Log one by one, three-dimensional works imbued with the memory of the material are created. Core (Core) — ISSEY MIYAKE: Focusing on the structure of the log’s core, furniture prototypes are produced through experiments such as wax impregnation and adhesive penetration. An exhibition configuration premiering in Japan The project presented in Milan in April 2026 has been reconfigured to suit the space of Gallery 3. Together with newly crafted display fixtures, the works can be appreciated from closer proximity.
