A one-of-a-kind piloting experience in the cockpit of a giant robot

Shed the everyday and immerse yourself in unknown thrills——Japan-born, the world's first piloted rideable robot operation experience lab
【ROBOT BASE JAPAN】

Operated by MOVeLOT Inc., ROBOT BASE has two locations in Tokyo, each offering a distinct piloted robot operation experience. Conceived as a place where anyone can become a “hero”—a robot pilot, it is a one-of-a-kind entertainment facility produced by a cutting-edge robot development team.

At our Ryogoku and Kinshicho locations, piloting giant robots—once seen only in anime and films—becomes reality. In a private, reservation-only setting, you can actually board in-development prototype units and move the massive machines with your own hands——an unprecedented, premium experience awaits you.

3 Recommended Highlights

1. Giant robot piloting with overwhelming realism

ROBOT BASE offers different robot‑piloting experiences at each location.

At ROBOT BASE 00 両国, you can pilot ASTRO, an original robot about 3 meters tall. Shooting while watching camera feeds and mini‑battles on a diorama field make for highly game‑like, active content.

Meanwhile, at ROBOT BASE パトラボ 錦糸町, you can pilot INGRAM, about 5 meters tall, and enjoy an experience that faithfully recreates the world of the anime "Mobile Police Patlabor." Beyond the sheer impact of a giant robot that actually moves, the cockpit interior reproduced just like in the work is also a highlight, boasting quality that will impress even non‑fans.

2. A cockpit and presentation that maximize immersion

It’s not just about getting on board. We pursue an immersion that makes you feel like the protagonist of a robot anime.

At Patlabor, every instrument and each switch in the cockpit is meticulously crafted, drawing you into the world of "Patlabor" the moment you climb in.

With ASTRO, you can physically feel the control levers and the robot’s arms moving together in real time, giving the illusion that your own body has been extended.

3. An educational yet highly entertaining facility for a broad audience at home and abroad

This innovative experience is drawing attention not only for tourism but also as an educational setting. In addition to hosting Japanese school trip students, more and more students from overseas aspiring to management or engineering are visiting in groups as part of their coursework. As a cutting‑edge site where Japan’s manufacturing and anime culture fuse, it is attracting keen interest from around the world.
