Aromatic spices whet your appetite!
Nepalese steamed dumplings are a favorite
“6 Steamed Momo” (¥693), a staple of Nepalese home cooking, is a dish much like Japanese steamed dumplings.
Dip them in a special, spice-forward sauce. The distinctive flavors and heat characteristic of Nepalese cuisine will whet your appetite.
If sharing with kids, ketchup is also available—ask the staff if you need it.
Enjoy two curries and sides
A deeply satisfying one-plate meal!
If you want to sample a variety of Nepalese dishes on one plate, the “Aangan Special Thakali Set” (¥1,540) is recommended.
It comes with two authentic curries of your choice, colorful vegetables, pickles, salad, lentil soup, and dessert, making for a hearty set.
A satisfying dish adorned with spicy curries and sides.
Loaded with ingredients!
A Nepalese rice-bowl dish
A must-try for lovers of fiery heat is the “Newari Samay Baji Set” (¥1,408).
This popular dish, served like a rice bowl, features an abundance of ingredients such as pickles, spiced mutton, lentil pancakes, and seasoned potatoes.
Start by enjoying the flavors of each side on its own.
Then mix the sides together as you like. By spooning a little soup over the dried rice called chiura to moisten it, you can savor chiura’s unique texture.
Great for families with kids
Tatami seating available
The spacious, Asian-inspired interior makes it easy to bring in strollers.
Tatami seating and kids’ cutlery are also well provided.
While Nepalese cuisine is often associated with heat, there are menu items kids can enjoy; for spicy dishes, the staff can serve chili condiments on the side upon request.
When you’re in the mood for a little escape in an exotic atmosphere, why not visit “Nepalese Ethnic Cuisine Aangan”?
