At the top of a 56-step staircase, there's the membership-only sushi "Gotoroppo" 🍣✨

The membership condition is surprisingly simple,
"being able to climb the stairs up to the 5th floor" 😂
Once you climb up the 56 steps without an elevator, a calm, hidden space unfolds before you.

This time, we tried the
"Omakase Aya Course" priced at 13,200 yen.

The course includes 15 pieces of seasonal sushi, small dishes, chawanmushi, soup,
and even an all-you-can-eat dessert option, letting you fully enjoy both sushi and sweets 😋💕

The seafood selection is carefully chosen based on the season's best.
Red vinegar is used for the rice, and each fish is prepared in different ways such as kobu-jime, aging, or searing, depending on the type ✨

One particularly impressive dish was the sea bream kobu-jime.
It's said to be wrapped in kelp for about a week, allowing the kelp’s fragrance to spread as soon as it enters your mouth...!

The flat clam was thick and had a mochi-like chewy texture.
The sawara was fluffy, and the amberjack was aged for a soft texture.
The still-moving mizu-tako was full of moisture, with the refreshing scent of salt, sudachi, and yuzu 🐙

The fresh shrimp was kobu-jime for two days.
Its plump texture combined with the kelp’s umami made this a favorite...!

Slightly grilled golden-eye snapper had an enticing aroma and a chewy texture, both excellent.
You'll enjoy seasonal sushi like marinated skipjack or fatty mackerel, and soft medium-fatty tuna one after another 🍣

And this got me excited...
A small bowl of sea urchin and salmon roe 😋💕
With rich and creamy sea urchin and large-grain salmon roe aplenty.
The almost overflowing visual was excessively luxurious...!

Also in the middle, there was a chawanmushi featuring tomato and mozzarella cheese.
This combination not being solely traditional Japanese was interesting, and it was quite filling too.

I preferred a dry taste this time, so I sampled 5 types of sake from the daily sake selection.
It's delightful to match a little bit with each piece of sushi 🍶

And one more highlight of Gotoroppo was, surprisingly, their sweets.

That day there were 9 types including daifuku, ohagi, skewered dango, yokan,
and all were all-you-can-eat...! 😂💕

I couldn't decide, so I asked for all of them.
It’s nice that they're served in easy-to-eat sizes ◎

There was even a limited-time shaved ice,
Shine Muscat daifuku was just too delicious, and I went for a second round... 🍇

In the end, as a small gift, I received a cute bath bomb,
which made the experience enjoyable even after the meal 🛁✨

A sushi restaurant that takes desserts seriously too.
"Gotoroppo," waiting at the end of 56 steps, was a place that appealed to both sushi lovers and those with a sweet tooth ♡

I'd love to visit again when the seasons change 🍣✨
