NAKED delves into the genius architect “Gaudí” who built the Sagrada Família — Gaudí’s personal notes and other treasured collections unveiled to the world for the first time! This official exhibition will be held at Terada Warehouse G1 in Tokyo to mark the historic milestones of the 100th anniversary of Gaudí’s death and the completion of the Sagrada Família’s main “Tower of Jesus.” Having received an official offer from the Gaudí Foundation, NAKED has become the first in the world to sign an official licensing agreement with the foundation. Under this collaboration, the exhibition brings together, for the first time, previously unreleased collections of high scholarly value, including original drawings of the Sagrada Família, Gaudí’s personal notes and handwritten letters, and the tools he used. It is the first time in the world that so many items from the foundation’s holdings are exhibited simultaneously. Furthermore, the latest research through graphological analysis explores Gaudí’s inner world and innovative thinking. This is an exhibition that interprets Gaudí from a new perspective, fusing scholarship and experience. At this exhibition, through participatory art enjoyable for both adults and children, visitors can experience the appeal of Gaudí’s architecture. In an experience where visitors help complete part of the Sagrada Família, you can feel that this building—also a symbol of “incompleteness”—is still being built by many hands today. It is a display where you can sense, with your hands and sensibilities, the world of harmony with nature that Gaudí envisioned.
