At Sunshine Aquarium, the event that unravels the mysteries of deep-sea creatures, “ゾクゾク深海生物2026 これまでの歩み,” will be held. The “deep sea” refers to ocean areas deeper than 200 meters. There are very few opportunities to see the deep-sea creatures that live there alive, and many people may feel it is like a distant world. To convey the appeal of deep-sea creatures, Sunshine Aquarium has held the “ゾクゾク深海生物” series every winter since 2017, exhibiting enigmatic deep-sea creatures and explaining the features of bodies (parts) that evolved to survive the harsh deep-sea environment, as well as their unique and mysterious ecologies. Marking the memorable 10th installment, this time the theme is “これまでの歩み,” and the highlight creatures and exhibits from past editions will be unveiled all at once!
