About 30,000 people attended last time! The event bringing together around 25 popular bakeries from across the country is getting an upgrade!
“Futako-Tamagawa Select Bakery 2026,” an event in collaboration with “Select Bakery,” where you can purchase breads from popular bakeries nationwide, will be held.
“Select Bakery” is a project co-created by Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., which operates Tsutaya Books and TSUTAYA nationwide, and Emiko Yashiro, a food editor at atrio Co., Ltd., who has introduced popular food and lifestyle content in magazines and books and sparked numerous trends. With the concept “A journey to meet bread,” they carefully curate popular bakeries across Japan from an editor’s perspective. A hallmark is the chance to discover bakeries that are rarely seen at other events or fairs.
At its inaugural run in January 2025, about 30,000 visitors came over three days, and “Futako-Tamagawa Select Bakery” was well received among bread lovers. For its second edition, renowned and popular shops from across the country that are hard to encounter at other events will gather once again. In addition to must‑line‑up favorites like ＜COQUELICOT ROUGE（コクリコルージュ）＞ and ＜HAL‘S BAGEL.（ハルズベーグル）＞, there will be breads available only at “Futako-Tamagawa Select Bakery” that are not offered at the bakeries’ actual stores—exclusive flavors prepared just for here. Furthermore, this year will feature hands‑on content that both adults and children can enjoy, such as “こどもパンマルシェ.” Why not take this opportunity to stop by?
■CONCENT MARKET（コンセントマーケット） Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture
＜Concent Market＞ is a hugely popular bakery that ranks No. 1 within Nishinomiya City on Google review rankings and is among Hyogo Prefecture’s Top 10 for popular bread. Founded on the concept of “bread that creates communication,” it was born from the desire to connect people through meaningful bread—like an outlet connects—rather than just serving delicious loaves. Using domestically produced wheat, their breads undergo long, low‑temperature fermentation and center on hard‑style loaves that let you fully savor the aroma and umami of wheat, with a highly refined lineup. The more you chew, the more the flavor unfolds—a simple yet deeply satisfying taste.
■HAL‘S BAGEL.（ハルズベーグル） Meguro, Tokyo
First appearance at a bread event! A hot new shop that just opened in November 2025. A takeout‑only store born as the second location of the popular bagel café in Ikejiri‑Ohashi, ＜H.A.L.cafe＞. A bakery dedicated to “NY bagels,” rare in Japan, refined to suit the Japanese palate. Made with Hokkaido wheat, they feature a densely packed, “chewy” texture; the more you chew, the more the wheat’s sweetness spreads. Classics like plain and salted butter are executed exceptionally well. With playful flavor lineups and a polished aesthetic, it’s a bagel brand currently drawing lots of attention.
■COQUELICOT ROUGE（コクリコルージュ） Ise City, Mie Prefecture
A bakery that’s like a croissant museum, boasting an overwhelming variety of inventive croissants. Not only adorable to look at, but the flavors and the crisp‑and‑fluffy texture are superb! As for other familiar classics, depending on the type, multiple kinds of flour and butter—carefully selected to meet the chef’s standards—are chosen and used appropriately, with attention paid even to the water. It’s brimming with delightful surprises.
■LOTUS Coffee Beans（ロータス コーヒー ビーンズ） Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture

The “Children’s Bread Marche”, where kids can experience “bread shopping”, makes its first appearance. With bread tickets in hand, they can choose the breads they want to eat from rows upon rows of loaves. It’s also perfect for a first shopping experience. Starting with the hugely popular Toyama bakery ＜パンダパンダ＞, we’ve put together a special lineup of cute, mini-sized breads for children. Many “Instagrammable” breads that are easy for little hands to choose—and that even adults will want—will be on display.
