Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store “Hokkaido Exhibition”
Umami-rich ramen, buzzworthy gelato by a world-championship-winning chef, revived signature ekiben boxed meals, the bounty of the sea and the land, and craft items are all coming together
The “Hokkaido Fair” will be held at the Event Hall on the 7th floor of the Main Building at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Under the theme "PLAY HOKKAIDO," it will showcase the rich food culture and a variety of specialties unique to Hokkaido in winter. The venue will be filled with umami-rich ramen, the much-talked-about gelato crafted by a world-champion chef—hailed as “art below freezing”—the revived Mombetsu specialty ekiben 「帆立めし」 that had ceased due to a discontinued railway line, as well as seafood and bounties of the land that are especially delicious in winter, and buzzworthy gourmet items. In addition, numerous craft items born from Hokkaido’s creations woven by people and nature will be exhibited. Over 12 days, you can experience the charms of Hokkaido’s winter food and lifestyle through eat-in offerings, live demonstrations, and workshops. Why not take this opportunity to stop by?
◆ Taste and compare ramen and tsukemen from popular shops proud of their umami
At this “Hokkaido Fair,” the popular Sapporo ramen shop <札幌市/麺屋 ⼤地> and <札幌市/麺 鍾馗(めんしょうき)>, known for tsukemen enjoyed with Hokkaido’s three great kombu waters and pork umami, will appear at the eat-in. Enjoy comparing in PART 1 and PART 2.

The popular gelato shop <札幌市/ラ ジョストラ>, which opens only on weekend nights (Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 p.m. to midnight), makes its first appearance. The gelato offered by the 2018 Espresso Italiano Champion (Barista Champion) is truly “art below freezing”. In addition to gelato, we also present the Italian pastry cannolo.
